  • Alicja Mazurkiewicz

    President of EcoExchange and Co-Director of Maryland Chapter

    Alicja is a high school junior from the Woodacres community of Bethesda. She was inspired to start EcoExchange after learning about the circular economy, its benefits and implementation. Through EcoExchange she hopes to spark meaningful change in communities by creating convenient opportunities for people to adopt sustainable, circular practices. She is also an intern at Bethesda Green, where she created a podcast series about the circular economy.

  • Manuela Montoya

    Vice President of EcoExchange and Co-Director of Maryland Chapter

    Manuela is a high school junior who is a leader in her school’s environmental club. She helped grow the club’s social media influence by creating informational posts about environmental issues. After taking an college course over the summer, Manuela became interested in sustainability and the circular economy.

  • Zoe Liub

    Maryland Chapter

    I’m a high school Junior from Bethesda. I’ve been an environmental advocate since I was young and I am very passionate about fighting climate change and taking action! My goal is to encourage my community to do their part and help the environment. Through EcoExchange we can find creative ways to repurpose and reuse items and limit our amount of waste. I am also a part of a team that teaches younger generations how to create sustainable practices. EcoExchange will allow me to expand my impact, as well as help others.

  • Shaina Mitra

    Director of New Jersey Chapter

    Shaina is a high school sophomore from Freehold, New Jersey who is the president of her school's environmental club. She uses fundraisers to raise money and buy eco-friendly substitutions for products in her school. Through EcoExchange she hopes to make sustainable living more accessible and attainable for her community. She is also a volunteer for Save Soil, a global movement launched to address land degradation and to maintain healthy soil.

  • Shriya Polavarapu

    Director of Texas Chapter

    Shriya is a high school sophomore who has a great passion for various sciences, especially ones regarding sustainability and environmentalism. She has done extensive research and taken many leadership roles in my school and community to advocate for the environment and to further develop a path toward a sustainable future. Through EcoExchange, she is eager to create a lasting impact on our environment by emphasizing sustainability and ethical consumerism. She hopes to offer tangible solutions to help people take action and make a difference.

  • Adalia Vargas

    Director of New York Chapter

    Adalia is a high school sophomore from New York who is passionate in advocating for sustainability in today’s world. She has an interest in the life sciences and partakes in spreading climate education in the public schools of New York City. She has helped facilitate an online panel that was student-led in which teachers were asked questions about climate change in their curriculums at their schools. Through EcoExchange she hopes to continue doing her part to create an eco-friendly world by spreading the habit of recirculating items in order to inspire a sustainable and safe future.

  • Sahiti Bulusu

    Director of California Chapter

    Sahiti Bulusu is a high school sophomore from Bay Area in California. She has participated in numerous other initiatives to help her environment, including writing articles for an environmental magazine. She got interested in sustainability and conservation when she was very young after multiple wildlife birding trips and safaris with her dad. She has conducted lots of research with a mission of helping the environment, and is eager to have a bigger impact on the environment through EcoExchange and do her part to create a more sustainable world.

    Director of Delaware Chapter

    Emerson is a high school junior from Bethesda and goes to school in Delaware. She is very passionate about climate change advocacy and environmental protection. Through EcoExchange she hopes to make an impact on the communities she is a part by raising awareness for climate change and building more sustainable practices.
